Ses intérêts actuels portent principalement sur l’étude des facteurs moléculaires gouvernant les changements allostériques des récepteurs canaux pentamériques en collaboration avec l’institut Pasteur et l’Unité de recherche Neurobiologie et Développement.
Elle s’intéresse plus particulièrement aux développements de molécules-outils dérivées de substances naturelles ligands de ces récepteurs. Les alcaloïdes de Lobelia constituent un des chefs de file pour cette étude.

Après des études de chimie et biochimie à l’Université de Metz, elle a obtenu en 1995 son doctorat, après avoir travaillé, sous la direction du Pr G. Kirsch, sur la synthèse d’inhibiteurs de la topoisomérase II.
Puis, elle a rejoint pour 2 années le professeur L. Ghosez à l’Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgique) pour un stage postdoctoral, où elle a étudié en collaboration avec les laboratoires UCB l’addition énantiosélective de dérivés organozinciques sur des imines appliquée à la synthèse d’anti-histaminiques.
En 1998, elle a rejoint le groupe l’équipe du Professeur J. d’Angelo comme maître de conférences de chimie organique à la Faculté de pharmacie de Châtenay-Malabry (université de Paris Sud) .
