She was born in Lesquin, North of France, in 1975. She graduated from the National Graduate School of Engineering Chemistry of Lille (École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille, ENSCL) in 1998 and received her PhD degree in 2001 after working on the synthesis of 4-anilinoquinoline derivatives as new antimalarials (University of Lille). Then, she spent 2 years as a postdoctoral fellow with Doctor Isabelle McCort at the UMR CNRS 8601 (Paris, France) where she studied the synthesis of rebeccamycine and staurosporine analogues as potential PKC and topoisomerase inhibitors. She joined the group of Professor Christian Cavé as Associate Professor in 2003. Her current interests mainly concern the asymmetric synthesis of glutamate analogues as ligands of metabotropic glutamate receptors.
